لماذا يهم اختيار الكابتن؟

في Fantasy Premier League تتضاعف نقاط اللاعب الذي تختاره كابتنًا. أي أن الفرق بين كابتن جيد وآخر سيئ يظهر مرتين في مجموع نقاطك. وإذا لم يشارك الكابتن في المباراة، ينتقل الشارة تلقائيًا إلى نائب الكابتن.

لا توجد طريقة تضمن اختيار الكابتن الأفضل في كل جولة. الهدف هو أن يكون قرارك مبنيًا على أسباب واضحة تتكرر فائدتها على مدى الموسم.

1. المشاركة المتوقعة أولًا

أفضل لاعب في العالم لن يجمع نقاطًا إذا جلس على الدكة. قبل أي مقارنة، اسأل نفسك:

• هل هو أساسي بشكل ثابت في الأسابيع الأخيرة؟
• هل توجد أخبار عن إصابة أو إيقاف أو إرهاق؟
• هل لدى فريقه مباراة أوروبية أو كأس قريبة قد تدفع المدرب إلى التدوير؟

2. قوة المباراة

قارن المباراة نفسها وليس اسم اللاعب فقط:

• صعوبة الخصم: هل يستقبل دفاعه أهدافًا كثيرة؟ هل يصنع فريقك فرصًا كثيرة أمام هذا النوع من الخصوم؟
• الملعب: كثير من الفرق تهاجم بشكل أكبر على أرضها.
• المباريات المزدوجة: إذا كان لفريق اللاعب مباراتان في الجولة نفسها، فلديه فرصتان لجمع النقاط، بشرط أن يشارك في الاثنتين.

3. دور اللاعب ومصادر نقاطه

النقاط لا تأتي من الأهداف فقط. قارن بين المرشحين في:

• المشاركة في الهجوم: التسديد داخل منطقة الجزاء، ولمس الكرة في مناطق الخطورة، وصناعة الفرص.
• ركلات الجزاء والكرات الثابتة: المسدد الأول لركلات الجزاء يملك مصدرًا إضافيًا للنقاط.
• الفورمة الحالية: مفيدة، لكن لا تبالغ في تقديرها. أسبوعان جيدان قد يكونان صدفة، والأداء الأساسي على مدى أطول أكثر ثباتًا.

4. الملكية: الحماية أم المخاطرة؟

إذا كان معظم المدربين في دوريك يختارون اللاعب نفسه كابتنًا، فإن اختياره يحميك: إذا نجح لن تخسر أمامهم، وإذا فشل سيخسرون معك.

اختيار كابتن مختلف قد يمنحك تقدمًا كبيرًا إذا نجح، لكنه قد يكلفك كثيرًا إذا فشل. القرار يعتمد على وضعك:

Why the captaincy matters

In Fantasy Premier League, the player you captain scores double points, so the gap between a good and a poor captain shows up twice in your total. If your captain doesn't play, the armband passes automatically to your vice-captain.

There is no method that guarantees the best captain every week. The aim is to base the decision on clear reasons that pay off over a whole season.

1. Expected minutes come first

The best player in the world scores nothing from the bench. Before comparing anything else, ask:

• Has he started consistently in recent weeks?
• Is there news of an injury, suspension or fatigue?
• Does his team have a European or cup match nearby that could lead to rotation?

Check press conferences and news before the deadline, especially after a busy run of fixtures.

2. The strength of the fixture

Compare the match itself, not just the player's name:

• Opponent: does their defense concede a lot? Does his team create many chances against this kind of opponent?
• Home or away: many teams attack more at home.
• Double gameweeks: if his team plays twice in the gameweek, he has two chances to score points, as long as he plays in both.

The dashboard shows upcoming fixture difficulty for each player to make this comparison easier.

3. The player's role and sources of points

Points don't come from goals alone. Compare candidates on:

• Attacking involvement: shots in the box, touches in dangerous areas, chances created.
• Penalties and set pieces: a first-choice penalty taker has an extra route to points.
• Current form: useful, but don't overweight it. Two good weeks can be noise; underlying performance over a longer period is more stable.

4. Ownership: shield or gamble?

If most managers in your league captain the same player, picking him protects you: if he hauls you don't lose ground, and if he blanks they blank with you.

A different captain can earn you a big gain if it works, but can cost you a lot if it doesn't. It depends on your situation:

• If you are leading your league, the safe option often makes sense.
• If you are behind and need to catch up, a calculated risk may be worth considering.

5. Don't neglect the vice-captain

Where possible, choose a vice-captain who plays at a different time from your captain, or one whose minutes are secure. If your captain drops out late, the vice-captain is the one who scores double.
